Cellulite is the unsightly dimpling of skin seen in women usually on the thighs and buttocks. It can be due to hereditary factors and cannot be treated effectively with topical creams or diet and exercise. Many people think cellulite is a fat problem; but cellulite is a structural problem below the skin. Fibrous bands run vertically through the fat layer causing dimpling. The only known cure for cellulite is to interrupt those fibrous bands that cause indentations.
